Mannitic \Man*nit"ic\, a. (Chem.)
   Of, pertaining to, resembling, or derived from, mannite.

   {Mannitic acid} (Chem.), a white amorphous substance,
      intermediate between saccharic acid and mannite, and
      obtained by the partial oxidation of the latter.
