Refracting \Re*fract"ing\, a.
   Serving or tending to refract; as, a refracting medium.

   {Refracting angle of a prism} (Opt.), the angle of a
      triangular prism included between the two sides through
      which the refracted beam passes in the decomposition of
      light.
