Yeomanry \Yeo"man*ry\, n.
   1. The position or rank of a yeoman. [Obs.] ``His estate of
      yeomanry.'' --Chaucer.

   2. The collective body of yeomen, or freeholders.

            The enfranchised yeomanry began to feel an instinct
            for dominion.                         --Bancroft.
