Jumble \Jum"ble\, v. i.
   To meet or unite in a confused way; to mix confusedly.
   --Swift.

Jumble \Jum"ble\, n.
   1. A confused mixture; a mass or collection without order;
      as, a jumble of words.

   2. A small, thin, sugared cake, usually ring-shaped.

   {Jumbling}.] [Prob. fr. jump, i. e., to make to jump, or
   shake.]
