software enabling
     
         (Or "enabling") Modification of the design or
        implementation of software to allow {internationalisation} to
        take place.
     
        In particular, enabling may refer to the modification of
        software to support double-byte character sets, hence
        "{Unicode} enabling" and "double-byte enabling".
