   weolcne, AS. wolcen, pl. wolcnu, a cloud; akin to D. wolk,
   OFries. wolken, OS. wolkan, G. wolke, OHG. wolchan, and
   probably to G. welk withered, OHG. welc moist, Russ. & OSlav.
